Best Content Amplification Platforms To Maximize Engagement

Content Amplification Platforms Hero Image

There are plenty of content amplification platforms that make it easier to schedule social media posts in advance and track engagement analytics.

While these platforms are helpful to the content amplification workflow, most don’t actually help your posts generate more engagement (e.g., they might ensure that you post more consistently, but once the post is live, they don’t help it get more engagement).

So if you’re already posting regularly but still not getting the amplification and reach you want, we’ll introduce you to our own content amplification tool, GaggleAMP, as well as a few other options to help your content achieve maximum reach.

GaggleAMP – Employee Advocacy Platform

GaggleAMP is an employee advocacy platform designed to make it easy for you to assign specific branded content to your employees to engage with and share.

GaggleAMP Members Engagement Activities

Employee advocacy is powerful for a few reasons:

  1. Social media networks will likely give you more organic reach as they will view the initial engagement from your employees as a positive signal that it's quality content that they should show to more people.

  2. You can instantly 3x, 5x, 10x, etc., organic reach as your employees give you immediate access to an entire network of potential customers that likely aren't following your brand's page.

  3. The quality of the reach from employee advocacy is much higher than paid reach because your employees have already established trust with their audience.

However, if you've ever tried to execute an employee advocacy program manually, you know that getting employees to engage (especially busy executives) is tricky.

Specifically, this is what usually happens:

  • You post to a Slack channel where employees should engage with the recently published posts.
  • Some employees might engage in the beginning, but it eventually dwindles as it's cumbersome and time-consuming to scroll through various social channels, select a post, and say something insightful – several times per week.
  • In addition, employees know that nobody will know if they don't engage, so what's the incentive to continue engaging?

GaggleAMP solves these problems by reducing friction for employees (and managers!) to engage and track results.

Here's a brief overview of how GaggleAMP works from both the manager's and employee's perspectives (and how it's different from other employee advocacy platforms).

From The Employee’s Perspective

Employees have plenty of high-value tasks to work on, so the success of your employee advocacy program depends on how frictionless the process is.

Therefore, GaggleAMP significantly reduces friction by:

  1. Providing employees with a handful of pre-selected posts (selected by you, the manager) for them to engage with that week. This way, they don't have to scroll through endless social media posts and try to decide which ones to engage with.
  2. Enabling employees to schedule their engagements to go live throughout the week – meaning they only have to invest a few minutes once a week into your employee advocacy program. Also, they rarely have to log into their social media accounts as they can execute almost everything directly inside the Gaggle.
  3. Enabling managers to pre-write comments/posts for employees to approve and schedule. This way, employees don't worry about saying anything off-brand.

To further improve engagement rates, GaggleAMP offers a leaderboard that publicly displays which employees are most engaged. This friendly competition is often enough to inspire employees to engage more, and it makes it possible for you to reward highly engaged employees.

From The Manager’s Perspective

It's frustrating to beg employees to engage. Whether you're posting in Slack channels or sending mass emails, you probably feel like your message falls on deaf ears.

However, you don't have time to send personalized messages to every employee and ask them to engage with a specific post.

In addition, there's no way to measure reach, engagement, and traffic earned from your employee advocacy strategy. So you never really know what's working and what isn't.

GaggleAMP solves these problems by:

  1. Enabling you to assign specific engagement activities (comment, like, share) for specific posts to specific employees (or groups of employees) in a matter of minutes.
  2. Providing detailed information on each employee's presence on each social platform. This way, you can assign the most relevant posts to the best employees.
  3. Providing a detailed analytics dashboard that shows total reach, shares, clicks, estimated earned media value, and more.
  4. Providing a detailed employee engagement dashboard of which activities get the least engagement and which get the most.

Here's an overview of how you can assign activities:

Brief Walkthrough of GaggleAMP

To give you a detailed overview of GaggleAMP, here’s a step-by-step overview of how to use the platform.

Step 1: Create and Customize Engagement Activity

First, create an engagement activity from our library of nearly 70 different engagement activities across 23 platforms. You can customize the engagement activity by adding a link to the social post or item you want them to engage with, adding pre-written text, and more.

Step 2: Assign The Activity to Employees or Groups of Employees

Once you've customized the activity, you can assign it to individual employees or a group of employees. For example, you can assign it to a group of executives or all the salespeople in your company.

In addition, GaggleAMP shows you the total reach each employee has on each platform so that you can maximize engagement (e.g., assign activities to employee groups that have the greatest reach, social interactions, and the greatest number of completed activities).

Step 3: Employees Receive a Notification and Log Into The Gaggle to Engage

As soon as you assign the activity to an employee (or group of employees), that employee will receive a notification (via Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email – your choice) that they have an engagement activity.

If you don't want the notification to send instantaneously (maybe you assign a lot of engagement activities and don't want notifications to become noisy), you can customize it to send at a set frequency (once per week, once per day, etc.).

Once the employee receives the notification, they can log into the Gaggle and see their new engagement activities.

A key differentiator between GaggleAMP and other employee engagement platforms is that employees are presented with just a few engagement activities for specific posts.

With most employee engagement platforms, the employee has to:

  • Scroll through an endless list of all of the brand's social media posts
  • Select one that they think is most relevant to them
  • Decide how they want to engage with it (comment, like, share – and what to say)

While having a handful of pre-selected engagement activities readily available may seem like a small difference, we've found that most employees become paralyzed by so many different choices and ultimately never engage.

Content Amplification Platforms - Engaged and Disengaged EmployeesTo ensure that the list of engagement activities is always relatively short (we recommend no more than 4-5), managers can add a start and end date. Once that end date passes, the engagement activity disappears, even if the employee didn't engage. A manager can always choose to reuse the activity at a later date.

This way, employees never feel overwhelmed by a backlog of posts when logging into the Gaggle.

Step 4: Employees Engage and Schedule Their Activities

Once employees are inside the Gaggle, they can complete the engagement activities directly inside the platform and then schedule them to go live later that day, week, or month.

This way, they only have to spend a few minutes inside the Gaggle weekly, and their engagement activities will go live throughout the week.

Step 5: View Campaign Success With Detailed Analytics and Reward Engaged Employees

GaggleAMP gives you detailed engagement data to help you understand the value of each campaign so that you can identify key trends to improve future engagement.

Specifically, you'll be able to see:

  • Estimated earned media value (EEMV)
  • Total unique activities created
  • Number of shares
  • Total reach
  • Number of social interactions
  • Number of Clicks

GaggleAMP Home Dashboard

GaggleAMP also gives you detailed analytics of which employees are most engaged. This is important as you'll be able to reward the most engaged employees and nudge those that are disengaged.

Upfluence – Influencer Marketing Platform

Content Amplification Platform - UpfluenceInfluencer marketing is another incredibly effective way to amplify your content, and Upfluence helps you execute the entire process.

Specifically, Upfluence helps you:

  • Identify relevant influencers that align with your brand values and are open to collaboration
  • Manage your campaign from ideation to execution
  • Pay your influencers or send them products. Track campaign performance with detailed analytics

It has a robust list of vetted influencers and makes it easy to sort through by follower size per platform, engagement average, and more. While there are plenty of other influencer marketing platforms available, Upfluence seems to attract the best influencers across different industries, and they serve customers like Verizon, Zappos, Amazon, and more.

Awario – Social Listening Platform

Content Amplification Platform - AwarioAwario is a social listening tool that makes it easy to quickly identify people discussing competitors or key pain points your tool solves. So while it's a neat sales tool that you can use for lead generation, it's also handy for content promotion.

For example, if you recently published a post on link building, you could type "backlinks" into Awario, and it would alert you whenever someone discusses link building.

This way, you can jump into the discussion, provide some advice, and then offer a link to valuable content (a blog post, whitepaper, etc.) that provides more detailed information on the topic.

It's a win-win for everyone involved – your brand gets in front of new audiences, and the people in the discussion get expert answers to their questions.

To make your content as relevant as possible, Awario also enables you to add negative results. For example, if you only want to enter discussions about organic social media marketing, you might include negative keywords like "Facebook ads," "PPC," or "promoted tweets."

It's also excellent for teams as you can communicate with other members in the chat, and the mobile app makes it easy to engage anywhere at any time.

SparkToro – Audience Research

Content Amplification Platform - SparkToroSparkToro is a relatively new tool created by marketing influencer Rand Fishkin. The tool works by identifying popular publications that your target audience reads.

By identifying other publications your audience frequently reads, you'll be able to identify key publications you can work with to partner with or guest post on.

For example, if you recently published a groundbreaking research study or particularly insightful blog post, you could identify and reach out to other relevant blogs and ask if they'd be interested in promoting your content to their list (either for a set price or as an exchange).

Depending on the plan you choose, you'll be able to see:

  • Social accounts your audience follows
  • Podcasts your audience listens to
  • Websites they visit
  • Hashtags they follow
  • YouTube channels they subscribe to

You can also use this mountain of data to better inform future content ideas.

ActiveCampaign – Email Marketing

Content Amplification Platform - ActiveCampaignEmail marketing is still one of the most effective content amplification techniques, and ActiveCampaign makes it easy.

To amplify your content, you can push new content to your entire email list or create segmented audience lists depending on a page they viewed or an asset they downloaded.

You can also create email nurture sequences and embed some of your best content into those nurture sequences.

ActiveCampaign offers detailed analytics that makes it easy to see which campaigns are top performers so that you can send similar content to those audiences and improve your email marketing strategy.

OneSignal – Push Notifications

Content Amplification Platform - OneSignalOneSignal is a push notification tool that makes it easy to promote content to your existing audience through browser notifications.

Push notifications are a highly underrated marketing tactic for a few reasons. First, it is still largely a blue ocean with only a handful of brands using them. In addition, browser notifications are hard to miss as they show up as a single message directly on your screen. So unlike email, where your message is one among hundreds, it's much more difficult for someone to miss your push notification.

To get started, OneSignal makes it easy to create, schedule, and send push notifications. If you don't want to use browser notifications, OneSignal also enables you to create mobile and in-app notifications.

They also added SMS and email notifications, though their core offering is still the web, mobile and in-app notifications.

OneSignal also offers several advanced optimization features, including:

  • Segmentation
  • A/B Testing
  • Campaign Analytics

It also enables you to personalize each campaign with the user's name, and send segmented messages based on content viewed, notification topic, user journey stage, and more.

Repurpose House – Repurposing Video Content

Content Amplification Platform - RepurposeHouse

If you host a live stream or record a long video, one of the best content distribution methods to maximize that content's reach is simply chopping it up into smaller clips and reposting those across various social media platforms.

While it's an effective way to make the most of your content marketing efforts, it's also quite time-consuming.

To help you out, Repurpose House will do it for you. They can select the clips for you and then create high-quality video memes, image quotes, audiograms, and text-motion with your branding.

Depending on the pricing tier you select, they will provide an entire content curation team that writes the headlines, image quotes, and researches hashtags for you.

This is a great option for content creators that don't have time to execute an effective social media amplification strategy.

Storify – Micro Influencer Platform

Content Amplification Platform - StorifyWe already mentioned Upfluence as an influencer marketing platform to amplify your content, though Storify is a platform designed for brands that want to work with micro-influencers.

To use it, just search the region you're looking to market in, and then scroll through lists of influencers. You can reach out to any of them and publicly see engagement statistics across various channels.

While any brand can use Storify, their influencer network is mainly across Asian markets, and most of the influencers tend to specialize in TikTok and Instagram.

Making The Most of Your Content

If you're investing in content creation and don't have an amplification strategy, you're probably only generating a fraction of the possible ROI.

While any of the tools above can help you improve your content marketing strategy, we've found employee advocacy to be the most effective method for driving more organic traffic and brand awareness.

So if you want a tool that will make it easy to execute an employee advocacy campaign, consider GaggleAMP. You can either schedule a demo or sign up for a free trial to see for yourself if employee advocacy is the best strategy for your brand.
