Staying Off the Spam List

There’s a fine line between your aligning your marketing efforts with your social media strategies and spamming your followers - a line that, once crossed, is hard to re-establish. As defined by dictionary.com, spam is “irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients” and to be a spammer means you “send the same message indiscriminately to (large numbers of recipients) on the Internet.” Once your followers have labeled your posts as ‘spammy’, you may have lost their interest for good. When reusing old posts or posting on a regular and often basis, keep these considerate rules in mind in order to avoid being perceived as a spammer.
